            Our emphasis has been on the innovation of new  products through dedicated research.  The precision and accuracy of our techniques, together with GMP and ISO 9001 certified manufacturing practices, provide the highest quality and constantly reproducible products.  We are equipped with numerous custom-designed glass/glass-lined reactors and process controllers in our 40,000 sq. ft. facility to produce from grams to kilogram quantities of nanoparticle-based products in a single production run.

Product Development

             The goal of our company is to work with our customers, collaborators, and strategic partners in adapting our technologies to their specific applications.  We design and develop Nanoparticle Delivery Systems with embedded chemotherapeutics and other pharmaceutical compounds for the controlled delivery of drugs to affected tissues over an extended period.  We develop antibody and other moiety-bound Nanoparticle Delivery Systems embedded with chemotherapeutic drugs to achieve targeted and extended delivery to cancer cells.   We also develop surface-modified Nanoparticle Delivery Systems for better cellular penetration and distribution of the nanospheres in the tumor cells.

            Although there are several potent anticancer drugs currently on the market, their use is limited because of toxicity to normal tissues.  By microencapsulating drugs in nanosphere matrices, we can control the release of drugs without reaching toxic levels.  By further targeting the drugs to be concentrated in the tumor tissue, we can selectively reduce toxicity with a concurrent increase in therapeutic index.

            The Nanoparticle Delivery Systems offer the advantage of targeted or site-specific delivery of chemotherapeutics and other drugs to affected cells over an extended period, thereby increasing efficacy while reducing toxic side effects.

            We use many biodegradable and/or biocompatible matrix materials to develop the delivery systems.  We work with water-insoluble and water-soluble drugs for various applications.  Our Nanoparticle Delivery Systems provide optimum nanoparticle size and surface properties with adequate drug loading for targeting and accumulation into the affected tissues.  The benefits include maximum cellular penetration and a continuous drug release from days to weeks,  leading to maximum activity with minimum toxicity.
