            Advanced Nanotechnologies is specialized in developing cutting-edge nanoparticle technologies for the new millennium at the molecular level.  Advanced Nanotechnologies is devoted to fostering the development of targeted drug delivery systems and diagnostic devices for the early detection of diseases.

            Our emphasis has been on the innovation of new  products through dedicated research.  The precision and accuracy of our techniques, together with GMP and ISO 9001 certified manufacturing practices, provide the highest quality and constantly reproducible products.  We are equipped with numerous custom-designed glass/glass-lined reactors and process controllers in our 40,000 sq. ft. facility to produce from grams to kilogram quantities of microsphere-based products in a single production run.

Product Development

            The goal of our company is to work with our customers, collaborators, and strategic partners in adapting our technologies to their specific applications.  We design, develop, and manufacture novel microsphere-based and nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems to provide release profiles from a few days to several weeks.   Using state-of-the-art facilities and the most-innovative microencapsulation and matrix technologies, we develop and manufacture a complete range of delivery systems with a variety of particle sizes, surface chemistries, and release profiles.

            The use of microsphere-based therapy allows drug release to be carefully tailored to the specific treatment through the choice and formulation of various drug-polymer combinations.  The total dose of medication and the kinetics of release are variables that can be manipulated.  Using innovative microencapsulation technologies and by varying the copolymer ratio and molecular weight, PolyMicrospheres develops the optimal drug delivery system to provide a release profile from a few days to many weeks.  Microsphere-based  systems increase the life-span of active constituents and control the release of bioactive agents.  The release matrix regulates the plasma concentration peaks and reduces toxicity and other side effects.

Our Drug Delivery Systems provide optimum particle size and surface properties with adequate drug loading for targeting and accumulation into the affected tissues.  The Microparticle and Nanoparticle Delivery Systems offer the advantage of targeted or site-specific delivery of chemotherapeutics and other drugs to affected cells over an extended period, thereby increasing efficacy while reducing toxic side effects.
